As I have looked at the forthcoming auction by Vectis on 20th January, I noticed relatively expensive model Morris Mini "Mostest"(1300 £-1600£). I wanted to ask someone here, why this model is so expensive. By chance I have it in my collection, but I have not much knowlage about Corgi models.

it's like Lesney products rare ones command high prices and this is one of the rarest Corgi's

Mint in box these Mini's can go for Four figure sums of Money. One was sold in 2013 for £3,000. It can not quite be seen in the above picture but the Orange-Red versions have the Jewelled hedlamps, some fakes do not as they have been done with the wrong Mini casting.
the pre-production model for the 'Mostest' Mini was in pale Yellow and they do not have the Jewelled headlamps.
Genuine production Orange-Red Mini's have the full patent number on the base.
There are no known records for how many of these were actually made, The pale Yellow 'Pre-Pro' is said to be as low as 20 examples, the Orange-Red as been stated as between 150-200, which because it was a full production model handed to retailers for their approval, this figure seems plausible.

Thanks Fixer and Ghostie for the detailed answer (it seems to be a genuine model because it is orange-red and it has the full patent number on the base). I always thought that this model, which commemorates the time of hippies and psychedelic art, was relatively frequent, but because drugs and treatment in the hippie community did non survive mint up to present day.

This Mini version was made in late 1967, but has officially never been sold - it was never listed or shown in any sales lists or catalogs.
It always fetches four figure sums, especially when the special box comes with the model.....

Very nice Kay, I think I've seen a later issue of this model, probably a cameo type release.

I have not seen that type of box before for this particular Mini, but some were put into an all Brown box with the text in Red.
