Got this cheap from one of our suspect seller's
There is wearing consistent the wheels rotating against the axle ends, no sign of them being drilled or forced on , any thoughts

this has been checked in hand by respected members and a non member and all agree this is a faked wheel swap
sold on ebay by ellinbea90 who seems to becoming a serial fake maker/seller or is he just that unlucky to get soooo many wheel swap htf models !!!!!!!

I also have bought from the same seller and when inspected the gpw jag mk 10 has also had a wheel swap. The domed axles also have a swirl from whatever tooling is being used to peen the axles after a wheel swap.

I see the same swirls on this #67 VW riveted axle end as on that re-tired (LOL) GPW #28 Jaguar that was recently sold by ellinbea90 and discussed here on our Forum. We are definitely dealing with a serial Faker here, not just a middle man. If you read the wording of that featured GPW Jaguar listing, it was being sold for restoration, as though anyone collecting would be stupid enough to "Restore" a real and rare original 3 line baseplate GPW #28 Jaguar. The Seller then hides behind his very stupid wording as though they are not a collector or are not familiar with our Lesney Toys at all. That kind of enticing wording was done deliberately, as well as leaving out the base picture that would have shown an incorrect 4 line base on this fake. Another present day scammer, but any attempt at negative Feedback that Fixer may try will be removed by E Bay, or cancelled by the Seller's offer of a refund. This will be a lose, lose situation for any sort of effort to expose this Faker as he peddles his used "Rarities", unadvertised as such of course, to an eager demand.
Any age wear can be duplicated by using matching worn components from used Lesneys in this Seller's scrap box fixer, no big secrets there. I myself would keep this fake to display on my "Customs", re-paints, and fakes shelves to be possibly used against this Seller in future dealings with other collectors or Forum members. Just like a German collector's gutted and drilled pre-production #23C Caravan now missing it's factory fitted window unit and in the hands of a Forum collector, This VW now exists in fixer's hands to show the true modifications that were done to it by ellinbea90. kwakers

The rule has always been never buy from known fakers or fraudsters, regardless of how nice the items seems to be. Same in reverse, never sell to them either. I can't imagine why so many keep buying from those they know to be dishonest.
As for faking age on wheels; the answer is obvious, these guys don't put on new wheels, they come from other (usually play worn) models. As for those who do buy from them and think the models might be real ...

I still have the jag as I took a partial refund so that it wont be sold on to another unsuspecting collector. The car unfortunately it seems is not the only recreation by the same seller. The car has been discussed and the pics are available on the website and I don't think I will be purchasing any rare variants from this seller anymore.
