Happy to find and get this one, the Tomica 1/78 RR Phantom VI in black.

Always thought this was a good representation of the Phantom VI for it's size and Black suits it, we can even pretend the Ivory interior represents Cream Leather...

A nice model. Only the wheel aren't really RR spirit to me.

Thanks Kevin and Stéphane.
I agree on the wheels, I never really liked this or any type of Hotwheels, but for some model cars it cannot be avoided.
I have six of them now, that is 5 Tomica's of which the blue one is a repaint. The gold one in the back only says: Made in Hong Kong,
no Tomica. It also has different wheels, but the quality is as good as the original, it is not like the shabby Yatming copy.

I would like to see the base of that Gold Phantom because it is wearing a design of wheel used by 'YATMING' and my first thoughts were that it is the 'ROAD CHAMPS' version which are in fact just re-packaged Yatmings.

This is a Yatming with the first wheels.

This is a Yatming, also with the first wheels.
These are packaged and marketed by 'JRI INC' as 'ROAD CHAMPS', the Road Champs name becoming a 'Brand' name and the source of models come from various companies including 'YATMING', 'SUMMER' and 'MC TOYS'.
There are various 'Versions' of the Yatming Rolls-Royce which sadly I am unable to show at the moment.

Thank's Gerrit, very prompt.
It certainly has the usual Yatming catalogue number of 1051 and the full metal baseplate including both bumpers, other versions have plastic bumpers. So I think it is a later version from them but minus any branding suggesting this was intended for someone else to market. Nice model, I have not seen that before and something for me to look out for.
I wonder if our friends Stephane and Ritchie have this one.

RIGHT, NOBODY LEAVES THE FORUM UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN STRIP SEARCHED, "FOX" HAS LOST A MODEL.
You'll be pleased to know I have some medical training so I'll be doing the searches myself, so if you'll all stand in a line please...

I do have a similar example, but the colour is different from Gerrit's. It's in light champagne. It came in loose.....

The paint is actually very beautiful, with the effect of shimmery powders similar to the Hungarian made Matchbox Rolls.

The rear door line could suggest it's a different casting from the Yat Ming baseplate models. And a more accurate copy to Tomica's.
