Re: Corgi Rally Escort
I agree Mick the corgi is my favourite of the 2 'but saying that the hotwheels is more accurate ,it's more in proportion with the corgi looking a little short and the corgi has incorrect square headlights for a Mexico these were fitted to 1300 GT's ,E's, XL's and some standard models . The bubble arches are correct on the corgi
The hotwheels is more like an RS2000 colour scheme

Re: Corgi Rally Escort
The Corgi Juniors seems to be based upon the 1968 Lotus Twin Cam which did have rectangular headlamps and WAS driven by Roger Clark the Corgi favourite - I have no idea how close they were to making a 1/43 version although they did make the decals which ended up on the Roger Clark Capri. they did plan for a lot of Husky/Juniors in larger scale until Hotwheels came along and concept cars were all the rage from 1970........fixer wrote:I agree Mick the corgi is my favourite of the 2 'but saying that the hotwheels is more accurate ,it's more in proportion with the corgi looking a little short and the corgi has incorrect square headlights for a Mexico these were fitted to 1300 GT's ,E's, XL's and some standard models .
