George, of course your observations are correct about people enjoying the hobby in different ways.kerbside wrote:But then Joe some collectors find the pleasure in collecting the boxes as well as the models I for one.
Where as you find your pleasure in doing repaints and fakes, which would not interest me under any circumstances.
So every one to their own in collecting.

If that is what you meant to type then I think you're being somewhat harsh, George.kerbside wrote:Where as you find your pleasure in doing....fakes...
Couldn't agree more Hugh. Repainted or Restored is a far more fitting description of Joes work. 'Fakes' they are not.Idris wrote:If that is what you meant to type then I think you're being somewhat harsh, George.kerbside wrote:Where as you find your pleasure in doing....fakes...
My understanding is that Joe does not do fakes and that he has (fortunately) never been attracted to the dark side. On the basis of what Joe has written in the past, his restored models can easily be distinguished from original factory products by even those with only limited knowledge of what they are looking at.
