Got these from a dealer who said he got these from a women that worked at the factory, the #15 is a UN-decalled code 3 with hole/24 treads and the #26 is unpainted with GPW, showed the #26 to Graham (rockertron) and he wasn't impressed with the axle end although the axle is fine but the plastic around it looks to have some distortion. The model I'm sure is not dipped and is plain zamac with no orange in sight whatsoever, even in the crevasses witch normally gives it away. Are clean as a whistle. I do know the dealer and don't have him down as a liar although I can't explain the plastic distortion. Wheels are on tight and can't come off and trust me I gave it a good go.

Re: Found at Sandown
Very interesting - any signs of oxidisation on the 26a?
Re: Found at Sandown
No Mick none whatsoever, it's all shiney, even the axles.
Re: Found at Sandown
The 26a could have been kept in a dry chemical free sealed air environment for 50 years to look freshly cast. There are water soluble plastic modellers paint strippers that leave plastic completely unmarked as may 3 months drowned in Coca -Cola. The only clue to dispute would be the wheel distortion - is it on all 4 or just 1? Please share a closeup of a distorted wheel - the factory would have made prototypes with plastic rather than metal wheels so perhaps close examination may prove these to be prototype plastic wheels??
