Recently acquired this and looking through Nick's code it appears to fall between

as it has silver trim but
flat head crimped axles and decal (all other features same as code 3).
Am I correct that this is a flat head axle?

Hi Rodger.
Nice find, It's amazing how just when you think you have got them all noted down these unlisted variations keep turning up, well done mate.

Finding variations......I wonder if it will ever end! I guess we'll never know the answer to that. Maybe a 50 year period of nothing new found and we can then say it's over!

Hello Rodger and Antonin and all,
I hadn't quite got to coding this model against Nick's codes and had two of my FC axles as early Stannard code. One is the same as Rodger.
Stannard does not differentiate between flat and gloss but as Nick does here is a couple of images of a gloss base and a flat black base. Note the differing size of the heads on the axles also.
Good to see you back Antonin

Nice spotted Bert and very nice models, like a new ones. There are some more unlisted variations:
Silver trim:
-HA silver trim
-MS silver trim to grille, headlights and front bumper
-MS silver trim to grille and front bumper
- no silver trim
and perhaps MS silver trim to grille only????
