This was one of a recent group lot I purchased.

I've tried Morestone/Budgy, Oxford, Dinky, Corgi & Google without any luck.

Annoyingly, I think I've seen it somewhere but can't place the maker.
Doesn't look to have ever had a rider.

The small Benbros have disc wheels, and I think the large ones have a 'TTC147' numberplate

It has been attributed as a 'MORESTONE' on the 'HOBBY DB' website but while Morestone have made Two distinct versions of their 'AA' Motorcycle, they are both different to this model we are commenting on here.

In terms of the method of construction it is closer to the Second series Morestone model.

'HOBBY DB' is the database section of 'Planet Diecast', so the information is usually reliable, but I honestly think this is not a Morestone model or if it is, it could be such an early version it has not been recorded before by any of the Morestone websites.

I was looking at larger ones too until I spotted Tractorboy's post in 'Look What I Just Got' so it threw me too. The main pointers that led me to think it was a Morestone 'Esso' series were the wheels, the pattern on top of the sidecar lid and the 3 big headed rivets holding the whole thing together. You can't see the middle rivet too well on Nick's page as the rider's leg obscures it, but it looks as if it's there on the picture of the RAC version.

Thanks for that - Everything appears to indicate it is Morestone.
I did a bit more searching and found a photo of the "ESSO" series on Bonham's auction site.

The model displayed does appear to have had a rider (perhaps it was loose on the pillion - hence easy to lose?).

Yes, Morestone Esso "petrol pump" series.

Looking here http://www.vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk ... ore1-4.htm it would seem windshield also missing which also made it hard for me to identify (another removable part?).
