What a difference half a millimetre makes on wheel sizes.

A new variation, on Nicks variation site the one with a Short Grille and the Jaguar Badge painted out only comes on the BPW model, but this one is on the GPW model. Is there no end too unlisted model variations. (Hurrah)

Was the blue Jaguar originally going to be a different number in the range? The reason I ask is the number on the base plate is on a raised block as if there was another number under it and at the last minute it was changed!

Cheers, Steve

There seems to be two variations on the silver trim paint to the license tags. Some are very rectangular like USA style and others are more square in shape. I only see the rectangular shape variation represented thus far in the thread.

Here's the larger square tag trim variation.

Hello Joe (tinman) in all my years of collecting I have never come across the 65a model with the Silver Square number plate like the one
you show.
Even the one on Nicks variation site only shows it with the rectangular Silver number plate, and no mention of there being rectangular or the larger square as your one.

I've found of three of them. Kwakers has one of them. Not all have red tail lights, but none had silver tail lights. I don't recall ever seeing one with silver tail lights.

Interesting, perhaps indicating a single, miss-cut mask leading to one small batch of square rear-numberplate models ending up in a small geographical area.
