One man's trash really can be another mans treasure.

Some restorations look simple when they are finished. Anyone would look at this model and think what's the big deal, just some fresh paint and reproduction decals. If that's what you think, then I've just received a compliment.



This truck was a rescue from the trash bin, a really unwanted model.

Very impressive save! How many hours did you put into it, 2 would be my guess ?

Some kid must have had some very strong teeth to rip the back end off like that!!

I don't really keep track of that. Let's just say it's a labor of love. One thing for sure, it's a non-profit thing for the most part. When I sell the models I work on, it pays for the restoration supplies, the beaters I have to buy and little else. I only do it because I enjoy it so much.

That is one magical restoration! Normally one would assume it was beyond saving, but you made it. Congrats.

The sign of a true collector is not just how many they have in their collection but the understanding and affection they have for the models.
Your restorations and customs show a great affinity with the earlier designers and I'm sure they too would applaud your efforts.
