I completed the Unimogs I was working on. I think the ESSO Exploration truck looks good with the different wheels & tires. I was going to do the same trailer on the police unimog as I did for the haliburton truck, only with bomb squad decals. Thought it might look too copy-cat and just stayed simple.





I knocked out a light green road roller. I used the first issue "matchbox originals" roller for this one. When you compare it to the Lesney casting, you can see what a good replica casting these really are.



I did another "matchbox originals" MGA, this time with the rare gold trim paint and metal wheels.

While digging through the parts bin, I found a dark colored Lomas interior. I then combined it with the correct early BPW and made a cross decal on the roof. I finished it off with the rectangle front trim. Reproduction doors by Steve Flowers, expert file and fit by me (lol).





Another "matchbox originals" conversion. I removed the fenders, gave it realistic paint and installed the very hard to find GPW.

Hats off for these. I am getting more interested (again) in Matchbox stuff ever since I entered this forum.
Tomorrow is a big swap meet in the Netherlands I hope to make some scores.

I found this garage, of course it was missing the doors and the paint was pretty sad.





Rare Muddy-Brown, no decal guide lines, no infill behind the cab. A very true to the original recreation.

After seeing the quality of the work by Tinman and the others I was inspired to give it a go.
Used a beat up BRM with virtually no paint left.

I'll call this first completed custom BRM [Badly Ruined Model]

I can hear you all laughing now !! It's bloody hard to emulate the quality I've seen here.

For Christ's sake Steve, what on Earth is that, what was you thinking, its a bloody mess, you should be banned from the forum...!




...now that is what some people would say, not me, you have to start somewhere and if you want to aspire to the dizzy heights of what "Tinman" and others here have achieved, then you have made a good start and it is a model that has been given personal preference and characture, it has not cost you a fortune and it has taught you several things, so keep it as it is and choose your next one, what tyres have you used, they look like late 1960's Corgi type and suit the model.

Hello Ghosty,
i can always rely on you for some encouraging words [although i don't know how you managed to type them with tears of laughter blurring your vision].

you know that haul of white metal kits I recently acquired.., well there was a large container full of decals, tyres, wheel hubs, light lenses, axles, seat fabrics, seat belts etc so I just picked thru them to find something that looked remotely close to scale.
Tinman AKA Leonardo da Vinci, would be drooling if he saw the stuff and would put it all to great use to create some masterpieces I'm sure.

scale is not a big issue with me cause I love the likes of Big Banger, Mini Ha Ha and Pi Eyed piper [ stop cringing!!]

I think they are just spare parts from a hobby shop for 1:43 scale kits and the ones I used were front wheel hubs and tyres because the back wheels looked ridiculous.

I haven't forgotten the Roll's pic's, just haven't been to the shed were they are stored but will do so soon Ghosty.
