Here are a few that I've added to the collection. Nothing too rare but just some nice pieces.

I never noticed those door decals, on the K-17 truck cab. I'm used to seeing the same decals as the tractor cab has. It would be nice to learn more about them.

Tinman, great observation, would like to hear more about this as well. They are not reproduction that I can tell (rough to the touch and aged). I did buy this model from a very good source. Will be interesting to hear what others think.

Hello Joe and John,

There are four decals with the four silhouette figures.
Door decals with or without the black border but the detail of silhouette figures can be slightly different. Eg rope in front of lead figure.
The third and fourth is in the form of an almost square block with the four silhouette figures above the Taylor Woodrow wording. This one is usually on the back of the Case Bulldozer placed within two vertical decal guides and comes with black border.
The red and white decal on rear of Case usually found without decal guides.

They came out as the second livery, the first being John Laing. When the model was first shown in 1966 pocket catalogues it was shown without signage.
In 1967 the catalogues show Laing decals
In 1968 the Taylor Woodrow without black border the same as on John’s Ford tractor (Interestingly the Case Bulldozer is shown without decal in catalogue). These are harder to find.
In the 1969 catalogue the black border decals are depicted.

The door decal measures W 10.0mm x H 4.2mm
The rear decal on Case Bulldozer W 11.2mm x H 10.5mm
Rectangular decal rear of Ford tractor unit W 30.0mm x 5.5mm

There can be a mix of decals due to the interchanging of either models or with the Case Bulldozer cabin easily removed and swapped about.

Can John tell us if the decal on the back of his Ford tractor unit and the Case are just red and white or do they have the black border?

It is worth noting that Dinky also had a red and white decal with the wording above the silhouette figures.

Hope this helps a little.

Bert

Thank you Bert, that explains things quite well and you have enriched knowledge of Kingsize decals.

I dare say, I've never noticed that particular door decal used on the 2c. But, since the 2c was made through '67 I guess the different decals came after the end of 2c production and were only used on the Kings.

Still, it might be a slight possibility that a late production 2c could be found with a door decal with no outline (maybe).
