74 toe joe TP 6 variation

Post by slicc64 »

Have a couple of questions re Toe Joe;

1] I looked on CF pages but could not see this green red boom version listed as a TP version only the red bodies and yellow bodies or can I not see for looking?
2] I'm not sure what is being referred to with the description "circles" or "Zig Zag" I think these terms are referring to the patterns on the sides of the booms but not 100% positive.

would appreciate comments.

PS the booms appear orange in my pic's because they were taken at night with a flouro light. They are actually red as per normal.

I have always regarded the metallic lime variations of the Toe Joe as primarily single issues; this may well be a mistake with regard to the later issues. Note however that any single issue variation of any model may have also been included in a two pack, which would then not normally be mentioned in the catalogue listings.

You are correct about the "circles" and "zigzags" designations, which indeed refer to the two different castings of the boom sides. Those terms were introduced by Charlie Mack back in the 1980s and have come to be accepted by most collectors.
