For the past 10 years I have been sniped by Steve Mullican(MULL64) on ebay for many models and as of today 7/20/15 I am officially over him and his sniping ways.Seriously dude I know your a bigtime seller and I have seen you get the same car I try for over and over again.I would never buy a model off him since they are models I tried to get off ebay.I mean come on did he really need another GPW fire chief? :x

It seems a lot of the time I am the underbidder guess who wins? I guess if I really wanted it I would have bid more than him. :-(

The thing about a snipe bid is that you don't know how far above your top bid was the other persons reserve amount. They win by a buck or so but they often are willing to pay far more than that. Start using your own snipe robot and put in the max amount you're willing to pay. If you are still out bid, then that's that.

That's how auctions work, he who bids highest wins doesn't matter when the bid is placed, frustrating I know when you have the winning bid only to loose at the last second... The advantage with a snipe/last second bid is not giving someone time to react .... Some you win some you loose

If it's an item I really want, I always use the bidding robot to place a last second bid. If I'm outbid, either by someone's higher reserve or a higher snipe bid, matters not as I have already bid the max I was willing to pay. Some think snipe bidding is somehow unfair and matters not if it's done by machine or manually. Most auctions are won in the last seconds, the robot gives you the best chance.

I can understand the frustration of constantly being out bid. To me, that's a sign of me not willing to pay what the item is really worth. If someone with deeper pockets constantly wins something, either I need to dig deeper in my wallet or continue to wait for a bargain priced item to come my way.

If ebay is a person's main source for rare or hard-to-find items, expect to have competition and to pay more. To expect those with deeper pockets not to be bidding on the same rare or hard-to-find item is unrealistic and often the same person will be top bidder. To hold a grudge against that person might be in human nature but it's not their fault they are interested in the same things as your or I and it's not their fault they have more disposable income than us.

I agree that sniping is not a fault. It is just a way of cutting out bidders who react to newer bids as opposed to just sticking with your initial max bid. Just like everyone else, snipers have to enter their max bid and see how it plays out. Deepest pockets always win. And they say money does not buy happiness ;)

I typically wait until the end to place my bid (manually though) because too many times other people react to your bid early on. I have also found that if ebay is the prime source for you, patience can often pay off.

The only thing he is interested in is getting cars off eBay to sell at conventions for a profit.I often snipe on auctions myself and I need to get a robot for items like this.If I thought for a second this assclown would come out of the woodwork to bid on it I would have went much higher trust me.I just can't stand this one particular bidder and I needed to vent. Those who want to go ahead and stick up for him rock on but I would walk past his booth at a convention and flick him off.

I'm not supporting any particular person. I've been out bid by him plenty of times. Once I'm outbid I forget about it and move on, because that means the other person exceeded the max amount I was willing to pay. Not sure why you didn't bid up to the amount you were willing to pay (if you really wanted the item)?

I've been using this free snipe service for years. There might be better ones out there, but this one works well:

I think you are taking things too personally and to call the guy an assclown because he won an auction you were bidding in is rediculous and very wrong. You just need to outbid him next time and job done.
