Reading about the good days out some of you had at bootsales today thought I'd show this strange creation being used to promote a London Transport museum in Ongar
Day didn't end too well as the cambelt went on the way home

Wouldn't be so upset if I hadn't bothered to change it . . Only done 6000 miles on this one
Anyway it was the bus/tube /train thing I was posting it's Street legal and driven quite often apparently... Bet it would scare the life out of you coming round a bend behind it

Reg and Hugh, I think this would be OK if all this so far were transfered into the new 1:1 Vehicles thread.
Ghosty.

This did start off as a 1973 ´´Londoner´´ Daimler Fleetline but was rebuilt like this in the mid 1980s by London Transport to promote the newly introduced Travelcard which combined bus, tube and trains in one ticket. It has been preserved for about 15 years and attended a good many bus rallies in London area

It would be great to have a 1/76 scale model of this! I'm sure I've seen pictures of one somewhere that someone's cobbled together, but beyond my modelling skills unfortunately.
