Datsun 280ZX prepros doubled

Rather an unusual feat I have just accomplished without even trying.
Until recently, I have had in collection these 2 prepros of the Datsun 280ZX that was released in 1983.
A black version with a white interior.
And a red one with brown interior. Both of these ones were pretty cool as although the model was only ever produced in Macau, they were both Lesney England bases.
Well, Graham Hamilton recently had another one on his auctions and I managed to snap it up.
This was similar to the red as it had a brown interior, but this one was blue.
It also sported a Lesney England base. So now I had 3 prepros with Lesney Englad bases. Except I immediately snapped up another.
Except this one is a little different. Do you see it? This is not a Lesney England one, as it was made in Macau. Take a closer look at the roof. You may see it.
This is a preproduction of the 1984 recolor of the Datsun. It was originally planned to have white stripes mixed in with the gold. In fact, it was even shown in the catalog like that.
The white stripes were across the rear too. But when the model was actually produced, the white stripes were changed to gold too.
So within weeks I have doubled up my prepro collection of this model.
And do you want to know a secret? The last one I just picked up for £1.20. That's actually cheaper than the regular issue would normally go for. A huge plus for me!
So to finish, a few close-ups of the 2 newbies.
