Unimogs

Here are a few Unimogs I'm working on. The first one is a Three Mile Island special with the logo of huge and well known company on the truck and trailer. The warning signs on the trailer are loud and clear. I can still remember the guys with the Halliburton hard hats (outside the gates of the Three Mile Island power plant) telling the press that "everything is under control and there is no need to worry." Meanwhile, back at the NRC, experts were worried sick, wanting to evacuate the area and trying to calculate just how bad the reactor core melt down would be.
The trusty Halliburton team in the Unimog is carting off the radioactive waste of an "event" (as they are called). Home made decals grace the truck and trailer. Trailer is made from part of another well known Matchbox model with a lead lined "Cask" of my own creation.

This next Unimog is going to be another of my ESSO EXPLORATION trucks. This one is riding on some serious off-road tires and red wheel hubs. The home made ESSO and Exploration decals are waiting to be applied and I'm still detailing the load for the bed.

The Police have enlisted this last Unimog for some heavy duty police work. The unit sports a single blue dome light (home made) and some home made police decals with a very strong tribute to the artwork of Lesney's police car decals. I've only just decided on silver wheel hubs for this model and I'm still considering a possible horse trailer (in matching logo and colors) to hitch up behind the the Cop's Unimog. Another option is a Bomb Squad vehicle.
