Restored K9a

Thanks again for the help with pics of the road roller decal. Here is my busted K9a all fixed up. I've repaired the broken front roller frame, painted a replacement driver (to the harder to find driver color of gray) and got him in place. A nice fresh coat of paint on everything and then I applied my home made decals. The red background looks a little washed out in the pics but in hand the decals turned out quite well.

And rewarding too. That busted model was one that nobody wanted. I wish I had access to more toy fairs, boot sales and flea markets where I could find beat up and broken models.

...and so another model is given new life through the restoration skills of "Tinman". Joe, I recommend a Two Week trip to the UK during our busy toy fair period and you'll go back home with arm fulls of beater models to rebuild and restore...

Joe, that is truly a superb restoration and transformation, looks brand new!
Was pleased to have been able to help out on the decal, thanks to James (oldfart) posting the image, of his decal, from which I was then able to, lift the image and refine it a bit, to higher resolution. So yes, truly a VBD team effort. I'm just so amazed that you were then able to transform the image into a decal, for the model. Really looks great !

Fun to see action on the board again. Another great fix. Keep the photos coming. Weather is getting nice for painting again.
