Did any of the members on here win this ? I forgot all about it and didn't bid. IMHO this was the bargain of his sale as its a genuine Prototype with several casting differences and the winning bidder got a real bargain.

did you get this Numi ? If so you stole a bargain, I have a couple of these and know it's the real deal and am gutted I missed the auction, but good luck to you if you now own it. All these scare stories at the mo are putting people off but there are some right bargains out there at the moment.

No it wasn't me Tj. I actually keep away from unpressed castings although quite a bit of prepros came that way from R&D,thats just me although there is absolutely nothing wrong with collecting those genuine color-trial specimens and a lot of collectors do.
Yes,here is a scare in the market for those who really do not understand prepros and what to look for in genuine castings. If at any stage im unsure then i always ask the forum for their opinions.
There was a Red example with the early base that i let thru my fingers at the same price as Rockertrons. Fools and their money do not always part

the only other difference I can see is the model number , it appears to just be a raised block without a number

Very nice indeed - the bargain may indeed reflect market loss of interest given the huge numbers of fakes washing about, perhaps its easier and safer to collect store distributed variations!

This casting should have no number cast inside the bonnet and no strengthening bar across the inside of the boot. For me a Pre Pro is a Pre Pro weather it be pressed/unpressed, screwed/glued or chisel cut. In fact I always think people like Nik the Greek can't copy unpressed.

He is certainly shown he is capable of producing coloured interiors, so i wouldnt be surprised if he tries sadly.
