photos Toymuseum in the Dutch village of Onstwedde
Last wednesday, june 10th I visited the radio and toymuseum in the upper far north east village of Onstwedde.
I have never been to that museum and allthough not that big I realy liked it.
I have also made photos of the old radio's aswell but will post photos of the toys here first.
There were many plastic toys like old LEGO from the 50ties and early 60ties
Nice old Dutch Police VW Van for the Motorwaypolice (Rijkspolitie) The more famous Dutch Rijkspolitie Porsche can just be seen on the right.
Nice old plastic Mercedes
Rare plastic BATMAN airplane
Nice old plastic DAF models and models for the Dutch ANWB (in the UK this is the AA patrol)
Dutch mark of WILDEBRAS plastic toys.
Old farmer toys, mainly from plastic.
Nice tin toys including very rare Arnotts DAF trucks.
2 variations for the Arnotts DAF for the Dutch NS (our railwaycompany)
And even more Arnotts models for the NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen)
Dutch tranport company VAN GEND & LOOS
Tinplate DAF model
A collection of trains including a full running 1924 Marklin train with lights still working.
Tin airplanes hanging to the ceiling and some Mecanoo airplanes.
Lovely old wooden toys.
A small collection of teddybears
Steam engines (they run but on electricty now, still with the old sound but the smell is gone)
Some of the other toys on display
A camera to tell toystories (don't know the english word for this)
A great visit and I will certainly will try to visit this museum again.
The exhbition of old radio's and turntables (including examples which were 90 years old) was also nice but as the building is small I would have loved to see more toys from this collector as his private house seems to be full with lots more. There is not enough room in the museum to exhibit it all.
Simple website of the museum for address etc:

and their traintable on youtube:

Afterwards I visited the small old fortified city of Boertange (near the german boarder) (see red baloon on map)

Thank you Marcel, looks to be a very interesting Musuem. I see many I know by name like 'BANNER', 'IDEAL', TUDOR ROSE' and 'TAT' among the many plastic toys and models.
I also collect Audio and Television equipment and have an extensive private collection, so it seems the Two hobbies go hand in hand...
