Hi Guys,
Thanks for the welcomes on my previous (first) posting. I already feel right at home here.
Here is the second of my Husky leaflets, this one is the same size as the first one, but shows more models in the range at the new higher price of 1'9. Most of them are in the actual colours they were released in, except for two.
Does anybody want to say which two and possible reasons for the colours shown?
Cheers,
John

The Sunbeam Alpine and Zephyr estate car were not released in the colours shown.
A pale blue Alpine appeared in the Dr. No film, it may have been too long after the film release for the model to be memorable, but Corgi were already on the way to releasing the Goldfinger Aston Martin in 1965.
The white Zephyr Estate would have made an excellent Motorway Police car or Ambulance. There was already an American Police car in the range and two versions of the Citroen Ambulance, so maybe a civilian version was the only way to go, with a colour to be decided later?
Lone Star released a Motorway Police version as part of the Impy range in 1966 with many more opening features.

There is a 3rd wrong colour : Commer panelvan was released in RED with RED doors not green as shown although a prototype has been shown here in the past of one in metallic green with diecast metal unpainted doors..........
It took a couple of years for the Commer to be recoloured lime and get a grey painted baseplate instead of the original bare metal choice

I had completely forgot about the Commer in red, despite having one in my collection. I will post some pictures of mine soon. The first issue leaflet shows it in light blue, then it changed to green on the other leaflets and catalogues. I have seen a picture of the plain grey door before and did not realise it was metal, assumed it was grey plastic. That was on a white pre production model if memory serves. Can anyone repost a picture or link to the metallic green version please.
John.

That's a neat model in metallic green, never seen that shade on any Husky before it looks a lot paler than the Jeep metallic green, thanks for finding it so quickly.
I've seen some prepro models before and they all had blank unlettered base plates, that one must have been a colour trial made close to the release of the range, so there may be others or variants?
Here's my three with the bases shown as well, from left to right oldest to youngest.

The models with no name on the baseplate were either the initial releases which appeared as pre-pros BEFORE the Husky name was chosen or they are 1969 models intended to wear paper ´´Corgi Juniors ´´ stickers.
The Commer had a METAL baseplate unlike earlier models which had plastic ones, and the range name was already confirmed so no reason not to cut it same time as model name. Those which had diecast sliding doors are pre-pros, colour trials will be models with RED sliding doors.
