Not so easy to see with the naked eye, but the licence plates are different sizes. The moulding around the window is also slightly different.

Do the doors have casting numbers on the inside?

The larger plate is casting 2 and the smaller is 4. I also have a casting 3 with a smaller plate.

Hi,

I only do have on of these models so there is no chance to compare.
How long is the bigger plate and how short is the smaller one?
Mine does have appro. 6,5 mm.
The casting is No. 3.

 That was fun with my eyes. There is a neglibile difference, perhaps half a mm between the width of the plates. But the noticeable thing with the eye is the size of the numbers/letters.

They are talking about the numbers cast on the door and not the base of the model. There will be several different molds for the door and each one will have a different number cast on the inside.

The number "3" in the discussion is NOT the model number but is a small number 3 cast only on the rear door to indicate that it is from mold number 1,2,3,4 etc. I seriously doubt that there are two different doors from mold number three and that confusion has come about because of the door mold numbers and the model's catalog number.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
