Nothing personal, Alex, just a general comment: the problem with posts like the above is that, eventually, the link no longer works because the Ebay listing has been deleted. Although the link obviously makes life easier for everyone whilst it is active, my own personal view is that it is always better to add a few details and a photograph lifted from the listing so that, in years to come, despite the listing having been deleted, the post and resultant thread is still meaningful.

Here is the ebay sale page image.

Looking at the images this model has the raised door panel as far as i can tell so why the high sale price? surely the type F box isnt that rare i have seen many over the years??

BTW take a look at the Import charges with the Ebay Global Shipping Program!!!!!!!

$179!!!! Are you having a laugh??? :o :o :o

So if the buyer is in the UK they are going to fork out £532 approx to ship that baby home. WOW

That makes me feel so much better about not Ebaying, when sums of money like that are involved... :D

It certainly looks like a fine specimen, but at that price even under Auction conditions, wow!

Can someone educate a rw dino :D I know about the code red's with their plastic cannon, but what's the relevance of the "no water gun cast" in this description?

Wow JB, I was wondering about that aswell!!

The only casting difference that i am aware of on this short lived SF variant is the door panel (raised or not). I can therefore only assume that this reference to "no water gun cast" is in relation to the revised code red variation with the addition of the water cannon. Whatever this seems to have convinced this buyer (god help them) that they are buying something very rare.

If the model had the door without the raised panel i would have thought it would have commanded a premium but no where near the final sale price.......incredible IMHO!!

No idea JB
It beats me why these go for three figures anyway as they are plentiful, but then again it's only what people are willing to pay
