46c Mercedes Benz 300SE

Post by Idris »

The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) has no variations not already covered by Nick, and neither does the AIM “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) nor Stannard.
Houghton has a green model as variation 46c-1 with chrome hubs on 10.5 x 45 BPW (as depicted on the first-type box), but I think we would all agree that this is a pre-production.
U.K. Matchbox did not examine the model.

I love the silver hub variation and the all silver model!

Years ago, I made my own "what if" or "prepro" of this model. The paint is a graphite metallic and looks great in hand but not as good in this highly magnified pic.
