Large Scale Bulldozer

As reported last week on the old forum, I found a large scale bulldozer in with a joblot of Dinkys on ebay. Postie delivered the goods today :D
This is it straight out of the parcel, I'll clean it up (gently) and post better pics in the Large Scale and Yesteryears section if that would be of any interest?
The row of holes along the lip on the blade appear to have paint inside them so I assume it left the factory like that?

Very nice Ewan, they're not easy to find and the tracks are a bonus.

Great find!!!!!!!,i haven,t seen many lately in auctions  ,has you already may know ,the dozer came in orange, dark green ,pale green, yellow(shades of),blue (which is probably a paint shop error) and the commoner yellow body red blade version.
I have been after a cheap red tractor version for many years, thats the fun the searching, findings good too lol.

Pure luck on my part - and it is a lovely model :D
I'd seen the blue ones on Nick's site and hadn't realised they were probably an error, it is a strange colour for a bulldozer but I do quite like it. You have to wonder how many of these have been chucked to one side over the years due to the lack of a maker's mark. Were they expensive when they came out? I'd have thought you'd have been a pretty lucky child to get one of these in Post War Britain.

Glad the models reached you Jason - I look forward to seeing pics when they're restored.

Yes, the Benbros dozer was a bit jazzy. It had a metallic blue body, a bit like the ice cream van, a flat red blade and I think yellow wheels.

Hi John,
The Benbros could also have a scoop or bucket rather than the dozer blade, and yes, my one does have yellow rollers.

Ewan - the row of holes along the blade are not holes !!! They represent rivet heads so for God's sake don't scrape the paint off !! As said before, very nice find.
