Hello all

Having been an avid antiques collector for sometime, I have been somewhat disillusioned by the process of paying auction fees and the process of sourcing (or attempting to source!) hard-to-find collectibles...

With this in mind I wanted to introduce you to a new concept I am trialling called Not At Auction, set up with the aim of finding the exact collectables you are after quickly and easily (post a request and sellers contact you) without paying any auction fees!

Its completely FREE and very simple - post a request of what you after with any background info or pictures, it's sent to relevant sellers and we notify you of any matches for people that may have what you're after.

Please visit - http://www.notatauction.co.uk have a go. It’s not just antiques but anything collectible.

Would love to hear any feedback you have on the idea and hope you enjoy using it! J

Thanks

The Not At Auction team

Actually, please come forward those members who do not find the above Video funny or Monty Python in general, there must be some out there who do not understand why we, the British do like Python.

I love it. I'm not sure whether others get out sense of humour but it would be interesting to find out. It would also be interesting to experience some traditional humour from other shores to see how it translates here :)

Thankfully public TV used to play many programs from the BBC. Benny Hill was a great show, although at the time I admit it wasn't the comedy that had me wAtching it as a preteen, (nudge nudge). Fawlty Towers, Are you being served, Monte Python and later during the early days of MTV a show about 3 punk rock guys (the name of which I can't recall) were all great shows. My wife and son are not amused, but my 12 year old daughter likes "The meaning of Life" so there is hope for her anyway.

Thanks Ford, I think those "3 punk rock guys" were 'The Young Ones' and featured many of our now well established stars, but sadly now not able to include the great Rik Mayall who passed away during 2014, a great talent and a big loss to the entertainment industry.
