Here is a variation of the 'SNOW-TRAC' by Matchbox. It seems to be a box version without the side windows of the Matchbox model and would make a great restoration project for someone.

I think the van would be more useful, it looks a bit like a Sherpa?

You don't live in North Wales at the end of a 1/2 mile track with a ruling gradient of 1 in 12!

With it's aluminum body and VW Beetle engine power, I would rather restore the Snow Trac Johnboy. Our family could have used that Snow Trac with all the snow and cold weather we had in upstate N.Y. this 'Old Time Winter'!
The roof on this one looks 'custom built' to me Ghosty, perhaps for a special purpose like an enclosed ski slope Ambulance. The stock windowed cabs came with rows of seats for passengers on the Snow Trac I had seen. I passed that Mint full size toy up when a good friend (antique car dealer) had it for sale years ago. A couple of months later, the owner of Hemmings Motor News bought it for their private collection they had displayed over in Bennington Vermont. At 5K, it was too expensive of a Winter toy for our family. It would have been fun for the kids though, but I still have our tiny Lesney versions for me to play with........ :D kwakers

Thanks Kwakers, I think I would also choose the 'SNOW-TRAC' over the 'Sherpa', they can be had from any UK scrap yard or an issue of 'Auto Trader', but 'SNOW-TRACS' are still thin on the ground here in the UK and it would be helpful when we get our allocation of Snow... :D

Thank's Roland. What a great model combination that Snow-Trac and transporter would make. Maybe one of our regular customisers would like the challenge of making it... :D
