Very nice indeed and a fine collection of Rockets to show it off. This is one that I havent seen since I was a child let alone in a box...........

Through the 1970's, I was living in Westward Ho! in North Devon and went to school in Bideford. I was sent on works experience and of the choices I had at the time, I chose a local factory that was doing screen printing, I don't remember now what the factory was specifically making, but they had a section making garages for Corgi, (Playcraft) and that's where I learnt my screen printing knowledge. It was not the only factory making these, because Corgi would have sourced them from anyone able to print and fabricate such items.

I do still have some of the plastic forecourt furniture and signs from the main building, would love to find them and post some pictures.

There were several designs of Garage being made at the same time and all packed in one area, how I wish I had accidentally dropped one in my duffle bag...

My love of these garages stems from the fact that I spent as much of my childhood as possible playing around the family one. I got these off ebay some time ago as a pure nostalgia trip - could anyone confirm if they're Corgi?
By the time I started work the filling station had been rebranded BP - 3 pumps in a row too - does that remind you of a particular diecast set

Your petrol pumps look to me like they are made by 'METTOY' which of course became Corgi in the mid 1950's.

Having...MADE IN GT BRITAIN...and...PAT PENDING... are typical Mettoy clues.

The red structure looks to be hard plastic with the main 'branding' designs, like the Shell etc, printed on steel or tinplate.

If the bottoms have what looks like pin holes, then it suggests they are Mettoy and a long white plastic base that they would all stand on, is missing.

Thanks for that, they do indeed have mounting holes in the bottom.

I recently purchased a few of these and am keeping a few, however one or two will be appearing on ebay and this one is for sale right now.
