I realy like that Rodger.
I have my Muffin boxed and the old book. (with a soft blue cover)
Found this somewhat more stable version of Muffin on the net many years ago and saved it to my computer.
How about that one?

Now that would take up a lot of room on my desk!
Very nice Marcel. Any details on the net when you downloaded the picture?
Looks like a fairground ride or stand alone rocking mechanism, where you would drop a coin in for a ride.
Wonder if it Played the Muffin tune?

Your last 2 post were the same great Youtube !
I downloaded the picture from an ebayposting many years ago and posted it on the former Vintage Levora forum with the header. NOW THIS WHAT I CALL A MUFFIN THE MULE.
I used google on that and noticed the results and it seemed i also made a posting on MOYBOYZ in july 2009.
I am not sure if you a member of that free Matchbox forum too?
My old post can be seen here:

There was also the ebaylink which no longer works.
If you have an youtube account (I don't have it but it is free) you can contact the maker of that youtuve video. Could be the same item.

I hate Muffin !!! It was the only Lesney toy I had as a kid and I got my ears bashed every time I got Muffin out - my mum had a lovely polished dining table and heavy old Muffin made a mess of the top when he went bouncing across it - tried to explain it was his fault but I always got the clip behind the old ear !!!!

Thanks Marcel.
Fixed the links now - think my iPad copy & paste function wasn't working properly.
Mick - just registered for your Moyboyz.com forum.
Seem to remember also getting a clip around the ear for battle manoeuvres with my Matchbox military toys on the best table.
Used to have some Britains?? canons that we fired matchsticks from.

I think these were Crescent (
here). I recall there being a slot where you could insert a cap (or several!), so that when the sprung pin fired the matchstick, it also detonated the cap(s) creating a flash, a bang and some wonderfully aromatic smoke.
Can you still get caps (or are they now deemed too dangerous)?
