Have recently unearthed my yesteryear collection and have been looking at values etc, I have noticed that my model y13 raf tender has a mismatch of hood colours, the cab being olive and the back being tan, there is no box but is is good condition, is this mismatch been come across before, and any idea of value.

Perhaps moving this thread to the Yesteryear forum might generate some expert opinion...

Cheers,

There were a couple of different colors for the canopies.
The standard color was tan, a slightly rarer color was olive green - much rarer colors are charcoal grey, black (from the giftware series) and there is a "Battle Kings olive" one as well (which is different to the normal olive).

It is not unusual to have a mix of tan and olive canopies.

Mixed colour canopies on Y13/Y26 models means nothing as a two second job to switch them round. The canopies are very loose, and fall off if models are stored without boxes. They can then be reattached to the wrong models by those who know not where they were originally fitted.
