51b Trailer with large hubs

Post by Idris »

On the old forum, I think it was Jason who reported finding a 51b Trailer with large hubs. I noticed another one today. Unfortunately the seller appears to have converted it into a Buy-it-Now instead of letting the auction run.

I'm tempted too, but there's all that business about interfering with auctions (even though it became a BiN) and there are stories about how heavy-handed Ebay can be with account holders when they feel that thier rules have been infringed.

I got hosed (a little Canadian lingo for you) on a Matchbox lot that I was high bidder on, that I thought was a pretty good find. The seller never sent the lot or honored the deal... my suspicion has always been that someone clued them in to the fact that the lot was worth more than they thought. It got quite a few bids, too; I was the high bidder out of maybe 26 bids if memory serves me. I complained to eBay to no avail. All they did was send a note to the "seller," which proved pointless and ineffectual.

That was the one and only time I left bad feedback, I was so mad.

I had a similar experience but with a totally different outcome. I was browsing ebay USA when I saw a very dark picture of a Radio Rentals TV van, I was about to move on but the wheels caught my eye, I thought they might be grey so I lightened the picture and the results made me even more certain it had grey wheels, The auction ran and when it ended there was one other bidder that had noticed the wheels and bid higher and I outbid him. I duly paid up and waited, and waited and waited.
After a couple of weeks went by I emailed the seller to tell him it had not arrived, he immediately refunded me saying thats what paypal would tell him to do, I was a little suspicious but then what can you do. I thought someone had probably tipped him off.
So about two months went by and I got an email from the seller, he said the package had been returned to him marked as 'undeliverable'. Do I still want the model, You can guess what my reply was, So, Two weeks later I became the proud owner of a lovely Radio Rentals van, And the cream on the cake was, It had fine tread GPW.

Hi Jason, Numi
do you have the same casting variations by your trailers with larger hubs? (sharp or round corners)
