RED FLAG Seller - Pre-pros galore!!!!

Post by numi »

Im sure most of u had wondered how its possible for a single collector cum seller has so many similar castings with variants to die for.
This guy is a collector and deals with Nik_Stil, Carrcollectibles, Ivo158 (known faker), Blinga among others.Nik_Stil is his favorite supplier.
What do other members think?

Here are his listings and feedback:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?ssPage ... suk&_sop=1
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... =41&page=3

Compare this listing with Christians:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Matchbox-Supe ... 3aa3ba5e45
http://www.mboxcommunity.com/cfalkens/M ... -LS65b.htm

Heres my question to this seller:
Dear battlekingsuk,
Hi,im a bit concerned so could u please confirm if these prepro buses are Lesney authentic or are they Nik_Stil Specials cos i see u had bought some custom prepros from him.I would appreciate your honesty and if i do bid they these would have to be posted to my Uk recipient XXXXXX.Thanks

Heres his reply"
Dear xxxx,
Hi,
I forgot to mention as per my listing, if you are not happy at all with your purchase I do offer a full refund.
Kind regards
Alan

I believe that this guy was the one selling a showcase full of fake prepros at a toyfair last year that was mentioned on this forum.I think that it was Reg who posted pics.

Nicholas c/o Nik_Stil Customs,if u are trolling our forums then i urge u to register and respond to our concerns which is the right thing to do.U have taken our hobby to dangerous heights with your fakes and somebody is gonna pay dearly. Its time u took this matter seriously and do something to change your modus-operandi and mark your creations so that collectors can identify them from afar and sellers like BattlekingsUk and MatchboxTom & Culturaljackie from Hungary do not try and resell your "prepros" as genuine to swindle unsuspecting buyers/collectors which would eventually be passed on.
This might seem like a trivial issue to yourself but look ahead and see the tumultuous disasters that awaits u and all collectors and the eventual demise to our already ailing hobby.NICHOLAS,I URGE U TO ACT POSITIVELY WITHOUT ANY FURTHER DELAY !!

Is it the money that u spin for a livelihood or is it your love for the hobby that u create these fakes.Im so peeved off tonight that if i was in any fakers face tonight then all hell would break loose!
On the other hand I also simply cannot understand some collectors who would dare buy these Nik_Stil creations and fakes in hopes of achieving what? If u do not have a desirable genuine model then just be patient until one comes along. There just no rush to get anywhere!
Dad is right, theres an ars#eho%e born every minute! Sorry guys but im just cheesed off tonight after seeing what this hobby is turning into................A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!

We purists have spent a fortune on the genuine Lesney prepros with total love & dedication and now this!!??

As I have said before if Nik marked his models and limited them to short runs they would become sort after in their own right and be a legitimate alternative for some collectors

It's pissing me off big time and really really putting me off of Matchbox in general. Nik Sills might not realize the damage he is doing to our hobby but he and all the people who recreate models without marking them are killing it off slowly. I myself have asked him to mark his models but it seems to no avail. If he signed his work I myself would even buy some as in future they will become collectable in there own right, but it seems he doesn't see it that way and is just feeding the fakers. I might not always see eye to eye with Numi but on this one we stand toe to toe.

And what I know of Battlekings is that he (Alan) has been a long time collector and former member on the MCCH and I have no reason to suspect him of faking. He has bought genuine Pre-Pros from me in the past and is a collector who spends money.
