The yellow crawler is a fairly common colour but I don't recall seeing a red one before, Very nice.

The red one is, in fact, extremely rare in any condition. I was lucky to find one which has some paint loss but is not in anyway damaged and is totally original. When I have some free time I will upload more pictures of my other rare early Lesney toys to share with you.
best regards,
Antoine

Hi Antoine.
I just heard from Gary Galvin who has one of the nicest and most complete early lesney collections. He does not have a red crawler !. I agree with you, It must be extremely rare.

I got one !!! Indeed red is extremely hard to find and this one shown here is only the 3rd I know of. Not sure why as red must have been an easy colour to come by after the war.

It is a bit odd when you think about it. The road roller in red is difficult too, yet Condon issued (I would guess) at least a third of their dumpers (the large scale 2a) in red.

Took me over ten years to get a red crawler,it really is down to luck, has for rollers i think the hardest one to find is the dark normal green with a driver :D
