Scammel dumper truck

Hi,
today Shapeways delivered a view 3D-parts.
This makes it possible for me to show my latest conversion (no convertible:-)) of a scammel snow-plough.
What do you think about the colour I should paint this one - red or yellow?
The thing that holds the tipper up was missing and is made by 3D-printing as well - it works.

Hi Stephan, Ideally a snow plough needs to be nice and bright (in case they lose it in the snow, it makes it easier to find...

), so I would do it in a very bright Red or Yellow.

Hi,
Scammel Dumper Truck is finished.
For spray-painting I used chrome-yellow made by Tamiya - twice - first and last time.
I never had a color-spray which was so difficult to handle.
Here some pictures.

The Dumper-Snow Plough looks great, not just because I suggested a Yellow, it suits the model perfectly. Did you use a primer under the Yellow to lift the darker base colour?

looks great - now it looks like 3d parts are better for cutoms and fakes than other home moulding techniques - what next, clear windows?

I was just thinking I would love to get my hands on the bumper & guard so I could make a mold for a resin casting. BTW, clear windows are the easiest ones to make at home. The first set of new windows I ever made (for a vintage Matchbox) was a clear set for the Greyhound bus.
