Nightmare Buyer

Has anyone here had any experience with a Polish Buyer by the name of Imaginary boy ? He has been a pain in the arse from start to finish and I would strongly suggest to you all to put him on your banned list if you want a smooth transaction. 1st off he didn't want to pay the extra for signed for postage on a £40 item that was clearly stated in the auction, he then questioned the extra .20p I put on top for my packing materials etc (I buy from new and it cost me .20p a box) and with ebay taking 10% in fees I lose on postage every time but accept this. He was sent a mint sealed blister models and is now complaining of Factory blemishes inside the sealed bubble and wants more money knocked off. I have been doing ebay for many years now and have never in my life had to deal with such a prick. In all this time I have NEVER had a neg but pretty sure this will all end badly as I just let him have it both barrels. You have been warned.

The funny thing is, going through his feedback he has had loads of Transactions with our two current favourite sellers lol, how many fakes does he have in his collection I wonder lol you couldn't make some of this shit up.

Tim, he is obviously a f****n chancing Mother who needs a good kicking, so i am glad you have emptied both barrels mate.
As you may know i am having a similar justifiable fight with an ebay seller, who will remain nameless, TuT TuT, and therefore i can understand your frustration even if it is from a different angle!!

When the buyer begins to nit pick, I offer to cancel the transaction and ask them to return the model for a refund. I simply prefer to cancel the transaction than to give discounts and I pass along my feelings to such buyers. I also have this in my listing descriptions (and elsewhere in the shipping details): "In some cases a 20% restocking fee might apply on returns for certain specific reasons."
That is in my listings for these kind of problem buyers and I do withold 20% of the total sale (including the postage) on refunds in these cases. This is allowed ebay and, interesting enough, is something I started doing because of Christines B.S. with excessive returns and nit picking everything.

I have told him and insisted that he send the model back to me for a full refund and have told him that I will also pay for the return postage. He then went on to tell me how good his collection was and how he was this big Polish collector. My return email suggested that due to some of his previous dealings that there is a good chance that his collection contains some fakes and that its a pitty that he tried it on with me as I could have been a source of good for him and give him good advice. To this he just accused me of being a bad dealer for not offering some sort of compensation for his Mint Sealed, never touched by human hand Model & no he never took me up on my offer as he said he already opened up the packaging.

If he's opened the packaging on a sealed model you don't have to do anything, especially since he's just halved the value of it, as you can't resell it in the same condition.
I only give refunds upon the safe return of goods, and if I know there's nothing wrong with it, I make them pay the postage. I also make it clear when bidding that if they don't like my postage costs to not bid, but a lot of buyers don't read below the pictures & descriptions.

Hi Tj,tell the buyer to send u a pic showing for sure that the blister had been popped, both car & board. If they compare to the ones u sent then tell him to sniff hot, runny candle-wax and paste him in our Bad Buyers forum. Thereafter report him to Ebay for extortion.

Tim,
Sorry to hear about the difficult Buyer and appreciate you advising us about him! Please let us know about his ID so we can avoid having to deal with him........................ I hope your nightmare ends soon.
On a somewhat related note (Ebay), I just received the package from you with the #37 Cattle Truck without the rear box "supports" and I'm very pleased with the model!! I'll be posting ++ feedback for you.
Thanks Again!
