Seller has sent me clearer pictures, confirming wheel swap, one wheel barely hanging on and the wrong tread pattern as well. Stay clear. It is at $388 right now, I hope it is none of our members.
Seller has typical story of a flea market find. I have told him the car is fake and suggested he pull the listing. Guess we will have to see if he does the right thing

Good eye and definitely looks like a fake on the #20 Taxi!
Looks like the bid ended at over $400 so Seller must be moving ahead with sale --- bad news.

We will have to wait and see if feedback on that taxi gets posted. The tread pattern is wrong and when I saw the additional pictures he sent, even though they were done to not show much, it was clear the wheels appeared ready to fall right off. A poor fake that hopefully will not fool the buyer.

Amazing how much people will spend if they feel it is ok, as you say Chris a definite fake. Hope the buyer realises what they have bought. J

Four of the other bidders who did not win this Fake had over 1000 Feedbacks to their accounts. With this kind of experienced E Bay Buyer being taken in by a model with the wrong style treads on it, how do we now reach them to educate them?? Every Matchbox Guide I have ever used has listed this Taxi with ONLY fine Gray Plastic Wheels, but excitement happens I guess in the hope of a 'New' variation being found on our Lesneys. kwakers
