As a child in the seventies I had a lot of Matchbox (not a single RW, only Superfast; my favourite was the Dodge Charger III) but always preferred the larger models from Corgi and Dinky. Unfortunately my childhood Matchbox models are all long gone, I now wish I had kept them but I wanted to concentrate on models in about 1:43 scale.
I have always been fascinated with Dinky's Gerry Anderson toys and Corgi's James Bond cars, and TV and film vehicles - from vintage British diecast to modern Chinese resin - are still my favourite area of collecting.
I found this forum a few months ago while looking for information about Matchbox's James Bond models for "A View to a Kill". One of the search results was Ghosty's "Made in England" thread with the prototypes of the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. I have enjoyed reading this forum since then as the members are not only very knowledgeable but also don't take the hobby too seriously and there's the right amount of information as well as fun and banter.

Thanks to all for making this forum such a nice place to visit!
