Well, I knew about the Piston Popper with SF base, but not the others! Presumably (especially given the colours) they are pre-pros.
Deeply jealous!
Cheers,
Gavin

Were the Piston Popper and Turbo Fury bases carrying Superfast instead of Rolamatics found on models sold in shops (i.e. yet another example of late preproduction castings being incoroprated into the initial run of production models) or are they regarded as being purely preproduction models?

From my understanding, the piston Popper is an early standard release and the Turbo Fury is a preproduction. I have seen examples of the Popper in what appears to be a sealed blisterpack, but not the Fury. I would think it would be possible a few Superfast Turbo Fury baseplates made it into production. However, the few examples of the Turbo Fury with this baseplate I have seen have all had no labels, which makes me think it was a seperate trial run from the production model with 69 labels. Not sure if J's model has a label?

Wonderful rarities David, never seen the No.47 in that combination with "Superfast".

Having found one without too much effort, I think you're probably right.
