A man bought a piece of land, including barn, without knowing what a surprise was inside.

There was once a land with a huge barn, nobody wanted to buy. The owner and his wife had died, they had no heirs. Interested parties were put off by the giant steel and especially welded-doors of the barn, no one wanted to spend money to go to the barn and tear. A retired man finally bought the property along with barn and opened the door violently. And he found ...

That story has been circulating for years. While it's all true about the cars stored in the buildings. The buildings were sealed while the estate went through a lengthy probate style process. Upon final settlement they were eventually auctioned off.

Since I drive one of my old cars almost all the time when the weather is good, and since I listen fairly well, I have found a few barn finds myself. Many times I have been stopped while driving to be told about a treasure in someone's garage. While there hasn't been anything I could retire with, in the last 3 decades I have owned about 150 cars. I would guess well over 2/3 of which were not "for sale" when I bought them. They are still out there. I have one I have been working on for awhile and a lead that I will begin following up once spring arrives.
