Brilliant Reg. You have got to applaude the sellers confidence that he might even get 99pence for that sad relic.

"I HAVE OWNED THIS MODEL FOR AROUND 40 YEARS, AND HAVE NOW DECIDED TO LET MY COLLECTION GO!"

It maybe the rare Muir variation.

I think he let it go (into the river) about 40 years ago and found it again yesterday.

Come on guys, give this person a brake! There is some harsh and uncalled for comments there. I though this forum was a friendly place fostering camaraderie, friendship and collecting.
It could just be one of the very early casting pieces. A trial run so Lesney could see what the front would look like before casting the rear end.
May be the tool designer hadn't realised the zinc embargo had been lifted a few years earlier!

Cheers, Steve

Salesman sample? Perhaps reduced in size for easier transport in their sample case!

HEY! it could be one of the new kit range models offered as a 'Part-Work' magazine promotion. Although I can't see the magazine being very successful with only Two parts...
