Hi Reg.

Your Citroen DS21 comes from the '200' series of '3 inchers' first launched in 1962 as a 15 model range designed to accompiment model railway layouts. It was also marketed in a '100 series with a trailer added. While the number '13' appears on the baseplate, the model will also be known as number 113 (the first '1' signifying '100 series'), and a nice representation it is too. Quite unusual in the UK and looking to be in pretty good condition.

this is the original colour Al, it's a metallic dark silver/grey
the paint loss doesn't stand out much as the base metal is a close match to the paint
it also has opening bonnet and boot with some nice cast detailing
I could get into these earlier majorettes if this is an indication of their quality ....damn more stuff to look for

Thanks Reg. With so much uniform paint loss this looks like more than general play wear. Perhaps an attempt has been made to remove the paint by other means, just a thought. Very nice model with some great features.

Thanks for the link Reg.

I see he does not list the model as #113 (we know the model is cast with '13' on the base), but became 113 when paired with a trailer (usually a Caravan), I believe with the new 'Panning' headlamps, it was then part of the '200 series' (213 with Caravan), and the model "Fixer" has shown has the 'Panning' headlamps.

Interesting Reg. It looked to me that your model was base metal with little original paint!!!

Nice find Reg, I like some of the older Majorette's. Christian hasn't been here for a while but when it comes to Citroen, I think he may be the guru :)
