Thanks for showing Mike, your model has the common ribbed engine cover and as you will be aware an unpainted base. Looks like a great model for Nico to start a display of Superfast variations!!!

An interesting comment from "Motorman". What do collectors do with all their 'Common' models, do they get put away in boxes and left in cupboards in preference for the 'HTF' versions, if so, maybe we should donate them to our Children to kick-start their collections and later on point them in the direction of obtaining those 'HTF' models...!

It is actualy very interesting Kevin as my son Dylan now has a very impressive collection of Daddy's duplicates and seems quite eager to learn about the different variations. He is definately more SF than RW!!! Personaly i dont care so long as he doesnt prioritise collecting hotwheels too much........of which he now has in excess of 300 models!!!!!!

That sounds great Alex, learning the ropes from Father and you never know how he will take his interest and collecting abilities in the near future. Fingers crossed he really takes to it and can become the seasoned expert. If he has a natural talent for spotting the odd and obscure model among the more common items out there, this will benefit his collection no end.

So I am guessing he is a general collector at the moment, but once he finds his favourite make of car, he may start to concentrate on getting the toys and models of it, thereby maintaining Two collections. Good luck to him, I love to hear of new collectors coming forward.

However, if he latches onto Rolls-Royce, I'd better watch him, he'll be getting all those 'Long-Seat' #69c Rollers...

At the very least he will inherit a totally Mint, absolutely perfect, unquestionably sublime, wonderfuly gorgeous "long seat" #69 from his Daddy!!!!!! I doubt he will find one better in fact!!!!!!.......

this is what Alex means Mike ,the raised lines on the arches on the edge of the engine

...and for the benefit of our viewers, the model in Mike's picture has the 'Ribbed' moulding, like the model on the left in "Fixer's" picture.
