It's possibly from the 1950's or early 60's. It was made by the Lines Brothers (Triang)

Triang is a fun series. I have collected lots of these models and especially like the wind-ups. Mine are smaller being about the size of YY or Kingsize models.

Hi Mike,
The locomotive you have appears to be a TriAng N°24
http://www.triang.nl/locomotive.htm scroll way down to the bottom of the page at the site
More information about TriAng here
http://www.triang.nl/ including a interesting history of the company.

Just 8 days to Christmas and the apple tree in my garden has not shed its leaves yet and the bluebells have started to sprout!, No snow here and the garden thinks that it is spring already.

Even here in Austria.
A crazy weather.
No snow in the valley. Not enough snow on the mountains (no skiing).
I hope Mother Nature (Frau Holle) is soon going to work.
Greetings Mike

At my first toy auction i bought one of these triang trains,it was one of the lots that no one bid on only me,also got a ex british rail sack truck the same day,i haven,t got the train,i decided that really it was a bit to big and sold it at a car boot sale, still have the sack truck though!
I have recently bought a large triang toy elephant,it would have originally been on a wheeled frame with a push handle,a small child could then seat on the elephant or use it has a walk aid.The weatherill is a kingsize and in the pic for scale
