Stunning example Bob, how much space you must need to display these. J

Nice piece Bob. Not seen one of those before. Looks like who ever was given it just put it away in the cupboard. I wonder how many were produced? 60 may be as it is the 60th jubilee! Interesting that the jubilee date is 1980 and yet I would have thought the Y-1 Model T was well finished being in production by then. They must have collected a number of these gift ware items up - old shop stock, contact Lesney and these were just sitting around in a warehouse so they were sent a few boxes or I guess there could be others but not necessary with the same model on the box. Interesting!

Cheers, Steve

Over on MOYBOYZ there is a thread about promotional giftware. Three examples of this item are now in the hands of members there. Many others are featured.

There are lots of different wooden boxes available. Mike. Yours is different to the one I showed by some margin.

The half bus was a "Heritage Giftware" item, and is on the "Chequer Pattern Box",

not the one I show with the Model T on.

I have the half a bus on the exact same box as your model T is on.

Just checked the catalogues and found your version. Memory lapse due to senility!  Another one to look for
