Question about new variations.

so i asked Nick a while ago about adding a variation to his list of variations and he said...if a few more are found we can document it being more than one then he could add it....makes sense as one isnt a true variation
so i saw a couple models on ebay that would add more numbers to a few models that have been found...mainly the large hubs on the 40 hay trailer and the front hubs on the 39 ford tractor...but with money being scare i cant buy them all to add authenticity to the variation of being more than one unless they were cheap enough...so would linking to a finished auction be one way to help document that there are other variations of ones we can actually own? whether the price goes above what you want to pay or just an auction you saw and didnt want to bid on

I would prefer that we wait for a forum member to actually have the model in hand before we add it to the list.
There are just too many fakes out there nowadays. I think we will probably own sufficient models to add the wheel variations of the 39 and 40.
I have the large wheel 40 but it is a fake....

i figgered it might be some reason like that...pictures do help but there is nothing like having the model in hand...ok...duly noted!

Do you think in a parallel universe there is the 'Vintage British Fake Diecast Forum' constantly having issues about genuine models...
Ghosty.

I wonder what a parallel Ghosty would be collecting model Trabants maybe
and would a Motorman be singing the praises of Bulgarian models

A parallel Tinman and Moyboy would collect Superfasts, Tim would support Fulham and every daft repaint that I've previously bought would turn into a pre-pro or colour trial (hooray!)

Dan, Nick,
With regard to this particular pair of models that Dan has lifted I have an example of both the Ford tractor and hay wagon with the larger diameter yellow wheels. The rear wheels on the tractor are typical but the front wheels are the larger wheels you'd find on the 19D Lotus racer. The tractor came from a collection Bob Neuman was selling up in Chicago and the hay wagon came from our own tjlglass within the last month.
If you need more detailed photos of axle ends let me know.
Now Dan, if your eagle eyes stumble onto a Ford Tractor with the larger John Deere rear wheels that you are not interested in buying, give me a shout! I've been looking for that one for awhile now!

A parallel Jason would find nothing but standard variations and a parallel kwakers would live in a penthouse condo.

Hi Greg...well i have found three tractors with large rear hubs...one just as recently as a couple of weeks or so ago...the other two i found in a lot a couple years ago...the bad news...all different variations...sorry my man...ill keep an eye open for ya though
here is one i found a few months ago with a regular hub and a large hub...you can see the size difference i think
one i hope to find is a tractor with the large front and rear hubs
i have a hay trailer with all large hubs as well and one with large front hub and regular size rear hubs...another with front large hubs and the rear with one large hub and one regular hub...just need one now with regular front hubs and large rear hubs
