Hi all,

My Name is Stephan I´m 48 years old, I live in small village some 25 Kilometres south of Stuttgart.
I´ve been collecting Wiking-modells (H0-scale) for the last 35 years and started lately to by the one or the other Lesney Model, mostly that witch I had when I was a boy.

In H0-scale I do also create models by the help of 3D_Printers. If interested I can Show some pics as well.

Today I won’t to show you my conversion of an Impala Taxi in an Impala convertible.
I hope you like it even though I think most of you collect perfect models without any changes.
The model I used wasn´t in a good condition as you still can see on the broken windscreen.

Thanks for your welcome.
Im sorry but I do not have any pictures of the Impala before or during the conversion but I think all of you can imagine how it looked like.

Today I will show you some pictures of a Snow-Trac model in 1:87-scale.

A view month ago a friend of me told me about his friend who bought and restored a Snow-Trac in original.
So I tooked the chance and went there to make photos and take view measurements.

With these measurements I was able to make a 3D-Modell in a CAD-Program.
The 3D- file was sent to shapeways - two weeks ago I held the model in my hands.
After painting and assembling I got the model now in my collection.

Here are some pictures, some of you might have seen them on “cobratoys” before.

Hope this is interesting to you even so it is not really belonging to the item of this forum.

Thank you very much for the additional pictures and the 'Snowtrack' model is very interesting and just as I expected, a collectible model in it's own right. Yes these types of models (home made), are outside the scope of this thread, and probably this entire forum, but collectors will be interested in the possibility of being able to make their own models.

I have wanted to have a range of Rolls-Royce models I could make, build and market myself, since I first heard about '3D Printing' and the results are clearly getting better each year.

3D printing is fascinating. It seems to have so much potential and it does open up many interesting possibilities. The Snow Trac looks great.
