I have this plastic Caterpillar by 1, - Euro bought in ebay.
The model has the size of a matchbox 8a Caterpillar.

Re: Plastic Caterpillar, crimped axles?
Hi Mike
I did not find much information...but seems this model was made in Hong Kong in the 1960s
They apparently also made a model of one of your favorite vehicles

The original IMP International Model Products, company was founded in Japan after the war from 1949-1962. They made brass model railroad, rolling stock and accessories. http://www.binnsroad.co.uk/railways/imp/index.html
It would appear the Hong Kong manufacturer picked up the name.
