Tekno Denmark buses

The old Tekno Dodge lorries are great but I love their buses also. The last one they did was the SCANIA VABIS CR76 that came out in 1968 and lasted until they closed in 1972. The casting was carried over to Tekno Holland so it was introduced in 1977 and after in the Dutch yellow and blue box. Here is a red DSB version (Danish railway).

I found this in the large Chicago toy show in 2012, from a collector that was downsizing.

The bus previous to the SCANIA was the older, more generic VOLVO from 1962-72. Here is a DSB version again.

Finally the Mercedes Benz 0302 came out in 1971-72 and was #950 in the Tekno range. All the 900 series were designed and manufactured by Kirk in Denmark.

Very nice - the 0302 coach is most common in that yellow version -even the Holland factory favoured this colour scheme but the other pair appear in many different liveries in large numbers. They are very well made but perhaps the 2 reasons why they are not common in the UK is down to the 1/43 scale making them large and the models themselves being unfamiliar to Brits who have always had plenty of UK made more familiar buses to choose from. That said, I bought my mib yellow 0302 at Duxford for much less than the nordic toyfair price :geek: !

Very nice MB.
It remembers me the Dinky Bedford Vega in a certain way.

Hi Karl,
These are wonderful! I love the DSB bus, never seen any of these before.
What's the Merc in the background too? Looks ace!
