The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (first edition), the AIM “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983), and Stannard do not list any variations not already covered by Nick.
Houghton lists (and, fortunately, also illustrates) a model at 56b-4 which is Nick's variation code 8 (red, trim to grille and headlights, interior with extensions) but with brown luggage. Given the comments in the other catalogues about the red version only coming with the tan luggage, this must be regarded as suspect. If proven to exist, it would form a new code 9.
U.K. Matchbox did not cover the model.

Re: 56b
It undoubtedly does exist, It takes seconds to remove the luggage and fit it onto another fiat.
Can I suggest that we continue these listings with the model name and number rather than just the model number Hugh.
Cheers.

OK. (I'll gradually add the names to the existing listings too.)nickjones wrote:Can I suggest that we continue these listings with the model name and number rather than just the model number Hugh.
