NIGHTMARE EBAY
Hi All, what a nightmare I have had the last few days with ebay & their new global shipping. I sold a matchbox on Monday it only went for £11.00 I had to send it to a unit in Derby then they charged my customer £10.00 to send it to Germany. Apart from being banned for another month, I sold a toy cap gun on Wednesday for £15.51 I lose £3.20 sending a parcel to Derby again, once again they charged my customer £10.00 to send it to him WHAT A GREAT MONEY MAKING SCAM. I wasn't very happy. I have emailed both parties saying how sorry I was & I will be returning their extra postage. I have now opt out of the global shipping. Had another kick in the teeth at lunch time under paid postage which cost me an extra £13.50 ten pounds of that was post office handling charge Pete
Re: NIGHTMARE EBAY
It is infuriating and even more so given that a lot of sellers are not aware that they can opt out of this scam!!

Re: NIGHTMARE EBAY
I try to avoid buying anything under the Global Shipping Programme. Occasionally I see something I really want and, in spite of my objections, end up buying it. However, in such cases I never leave positive feedback, only neutral, mentioning the GSP as being the issue. When I do that, I always PM the seller to explain why I cannot give him positive feedback and carefully explain what the issues with the GSP are.
Re: NIGHTMARE EBAY
although I sell only one or two items over a few months I've just received an email telling e how I am to be enrolled in the GSP scam in a few weeks
guess what i'll be doing

guess what i'll be doing

Thanks JB for submitting this guide, hopefully some of our international members who have inadvertently signed up to this con will now follow your guide and opt out, and as a result see an instant increase in their international sales!!!

Re: NIGHTMARE EBAY
Let's hope so. Those instructions are from ebayuk, but I'm guessing it maybe the same or similar on other sites. Are there any .com or euro account holders that can check?motorman wrote:Thanks JB for submitting this guide, hopefully some of our international members who have inadvertently signed up to this con will now follow your guide and opt out, and as a result see an instant increase in their international sales!!!

Re: NIGHTMARE EBAY
Got both my accounts out ASAP & never buy from anyone who hasn't opted out.
How long before you have to be opted IN to qualify as Top Rated/Premium????
And of course, now we have Click & Collect through Argos......
What wrong with the Post Office/Parcelforce? A company that ONLY delivers parcels....
